Francisco Elson said in an email from his first home, the Netherlands, that he would be excited to come back to his second home and play in a Denver Nuggets uniform.
“I would be very excited to have the opportunity to play in Denver,” Elson, who played with the Nuggets from 2003- 06, wrote by e-mail Thursday from his native Netherlands. “It’s the team that drafted me and a place I call my second home. The fans have been fantastic, and I respect the staff, coach (George) Karl, and the guys on the team are all still friends.”“(The Nuggets are) a team with many of the right pieces in place already to win, and I feel I could be the missing part of the puzzle.”
With Marcus Camby being traded earlier this week to the Los Angeles Clippers, the Nuggets are definately in the market for another big man. And, are looking at a few possibilities in Elson, David Harrison, and another former Nugget Chris Andersen.
The Nuggets could really use another big. Elson would fit the bill. Now, if they could get a point guard to distribute to them all would be peachy. Or, at least better than it is at this point.
