Pat Bowlen– We Will Begin Discussions With Other Teams

By Jeremy Glasoe | March 31, 2009

Denver Broncos owner Pat Bowlen released this statement today on the Jay Cutler soap opera.

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. – Denver Broncos President and CEO Pat Bowlen today released the following statement:

“Numerous attempts to contact Jay Cutler in the last 10 days, both by Head Coach Josh McDaniels and myself, have been unsuccessful.

A conversation with his agent earlier today clearly communicated and confirmed to us that Jay no longer has any desire to play for the Denver Broncos.

We will begin discussions with other teams in an effort to accommodate his request to be traded.”

Well, it looks like Jay Cutler’s days in a Denver Broncos uniform are finished. Let the bidding begin.

Bus Cook, that SOB, is between Cutler and the Broncos - and Cook is the one that directed Cutler to not even attempt to talk to the Broncos.

Good luck whoever gets Cutler, Cook will screw you over like he did the Broncos.

i have been a bronco fan for sooooo long…. through a lot of bad years and a lot of very sad loses….. but this whole mess is the worst i have ever felt about my team and the people running it. i think we have some of the worst times ever ahead of us…. Bolan, why don’t you sell to John, maybe then you’d get your fan base back.

Cutler is starting to follow in the footsteps of Jeff George. You gotta at least pick up the phone, man! Bus Cook certainly didn’t help out Brett Favre’s legacy last year and it doesn’t look like he is changing the playbook for Jay. Be careful what you wish for Cutler?

Jay has shown he has the skills, he has yet to prove he has the ability to be a great QB. Good Bye! McD is right, we need a TEAM! Teams win championships - ask John Elway. Better yet, ask Craig Morton or any of the members of the 77 team. Run the ball, stop the other guys from running … any quarterback will look good on a team like that.

Hey, J Mac, while your trashing the team get rid of those scrubs Marshall Royal and Sheffler too! Its obvious the last thing you want is talent! Oh, I heard Ryan Leaf might be available!

    Hey Randy,
J Mac isn’t the one that is getting rid of Cutler. The overpaid crybaby Cutler is doing this to himself. He heard about trade talk.. OMH Seriously he will be a good QB elsewhere. But we need a TEAM. No one player can make a TEAM. They can influence the team in good ways and bad ways. Right now all Cutler is doing is being a bad influence. I am personally Glad J Mac is holding his own on this and not giving in and making Cutler “untouchable” No player on one team is ever “untouchable” and that is as it should be!

Who is the face of the Broncos? J Mac? Bowlen?
I see a team with no identity right now.

To all of the so called fans who in the last month have taken to trashing Jay Cutler because of what his piece of crap agent Bus (puke) Cook is doing to the Broncos, I think that you all need to get yourself a new team. Jay Cutler was the future of this team, pro bowler, 25, well liked by his TEAM mates, and mowing down one record after another. We need to be aware of these sleazeball agents that are only looking after their own personal interests by lying and spreading rumors. This is truly a sad day in the mile high city and elsewhere for all Bronco fans. Maybe J Mac could have handled things better, maybe Jay could have beat his agent to a pulp for the bad advice, but one thing is for sure; none of this would have happened under Mike Shanahan.
