Avs Beat The Redwings In Comeback Win
By Matt Lovato | October 18, 2009
The Avalanche continue to look good as Marek Svatos and Milan Hejduk scored shootout goals to give the AVS a 4-3 victory over the Redwings.
The Avalanche really are on fire as they have won the past 4 games and look to be in great form to make up for a disappointing season last year.
The Avalanche rallied from 2-0 and a 3-2 deficits during the 3rd period to set them up for OT. Duchene tied it at 2-2 with 8:15 left with his first NHL goal, beating Osgood with a wrist shot from the top of the right circle.
McLeod’s second goal made it 3-3 with 2:32 left in regulation. He beat Osgood from the bottom of the left circle after taking a pass from O’Reilly.
Its great to see the team come back from deficits in the last period and really speaks to the talent of the team. It is key to have clutch performances to build team confidence. Also, it is always extra special to beat the Redwings, I am excited to see what the rest of the season has in store for the AVS.
