Denver Broncos Add Mitch Berger; Drop Kern
By Jeremy Glasoe | October 26, 2009
On Wednesday, John reported that the Denver Broncos were working out former CU punter, Mitch Berger.
Today, according to Mike Klis of the Denver Post, Berger’s name hangs above the locker which belonged to Brett Kern before the bye week.
In the short amount of time Josh McDaniels has been at the helm, we have learned he is a perfectionist, and the special-teams will not get lost in the mix. Kern’s low punt’s and tendency to kick to dangerous returners led to his demise.
Although the Broncos haven’t formally announced the move, the nameplate says it all.

You ain’t kidding! I am with McD on this, I’ll take the airtime rather than line drive distance.
