Denver Nuggets Waive James White

In a example of, just how quick your chance can be with an NBA team, the Denver Nuggets waived James White today and trimmed the roster down to 13 in the process.
Just last month we posted here, Denver Nuggets acquire James White from Houston Rockets.

It wasn’t for a lack of effort, White averaged 7.3 points per game in the preseason, ultimately he just couldn’t beat out Joey Graham for the spot on the roster. With J.R. Smith serving a 7 game suspension to open the season and Linas Kleiza signing with a Greek team in the off-season, the Nuggets were looking for a swingman.
Enter Joey Graham, who was signed the day before training camp to a non-guaranteed deal and he made the most of the opportunity. In 78 games last year (10 started), Graham averaged 7.7 ppg last year and 3.7 rpg, while playing for the Toronto Raptors.
Kleiza would probably still be a Nugget, had he learned to use his left hand. Once the league figured out Linas could only drive to the right, it was over. Kleiza also seemed to have confidence issues, it was for the best that he get away from the NBA. Joey Graham should fill in nicely.
