Everyday I scour the countryside looking for the best of Colorado Sports and Today I will begin sharing those links with you. The reason being, I read and see a lot of good things that aren’t posted here and why not show the deserved some love?
Broncos, Nuggets, Rockies, Avalanche, CU, CSU, AFA, and more, will all be covered under this umbrella. So find what you like and click away my friends!
What better way to start then with Kyle at BroncoTalk.net, who is one of the best for everything Broncos and he found this gem of a video, featuring Tony Romo after the Broncos goal line stand to end the game on Sunday. Romo looks as confused as Jessica Simpson when she found out it was tuna! Anyway go check it out, he calls it Tony Romo and the disappearing 4th down.
Greeley police arrested former Colorado Rockies pitcher and Greeley native Shawn Chacon on Monday night on a felony warrant for suspected unpaid gambling debt in Las Vegas. The Greeley Tribune has the story here… Chacon arrested at Greeley bowling center.
Roundball Mining Company has a great article about John Hollinger and the Denver Nuggets PER Projections. The short definition is PER (Player Efficiency Rating), is a statistical per minute measurement of a player’s effect on a game and the average performance is set at 15.00. Anything higher than 15.00 is solid and anything lower is suspect. Good analysis on Nuggets player’s and PER, so go check it out and learn something, would ya?
Adrian Dater from the Denver Post let’s us know that, Colorado Avalanche goalie Craig Anderson, named one of the NHL’s three stars last week with a 2-0 start, did not practice yesterday because of a groin strain. Let’s hope they are right and this isn’t a nagging injury, the Avs are already slim at goalie, as far as talent. Check out all the info here: Avalanche goalie Anderson injures groin.
Apparently Mack Brown thinks the Colorado running game will give the Longhorns their first real test of the season. This was found by reading The Ralphie Report here… Tuesday Buff Bites - Texas Thinks Colorado’s Running Game Will Test Them (Me Laughing).
According to The Coloradoan, Marvin Ford, a Florida running back with 4.4-second speed in the 40-yard dash, has said he will play college football at CSU. Ford is the seventh player known to have committed to CSU for the 2010 signing class and the third from Orlando, joining quarterback Bobby Borcky and defensive back Najee James. Report: CSU lands RB recruit.
Jake Schaller from the Colorado Springs Gazette brings us this unfortunate news, Air Force junior inside linebacker Ken Lamendola’s left knee injury – thought to be a problem with the medial collateral ligament – is more serious than expected. Lamendola was the Academy’s leading tackler last year. Lamendola Probably out for Rest of Season.
Last, but not least, Steve O’Reilly of The Skinny Post, brings two stellar reads for the Desk links and Broncos Country! The first, is a nice Ryan Clady read for your pleasure: The Brick Wall – Ryan Clady, and the second a little newer than the first and just as good: The Pieces Fit!, a Defensive Crush! Can’t go wrong either way, you should check them both out.
Enjoy the reads on your Favorite Teams!
