NHL Names Anderson First Star for October

Colorado Avalanche goalie Craig Anderson was named first star for the month of October by the NHL.  After starting all of Colorado’s games so far Anderson has put the Avalanche in first place in the Western Conference with a 10-2-2 record.  Anderson has led the league in save percentage (.939) and ranked 3rd in goals against average (2.04), he has matched the Colorado/Quebec franchise record for a single month.  Anderson has also tied the NHL record forgoaltender victories in October set by Detroit’s Manny legace.
